These sessions follow the American Red Cross' "Learn to Swim" guidelines, and are designed to help children learn to swim as early as 6 months of age. Sessions are led by certified water safety instructors who teach everything from the fundamentals of swimming to advanced stroke techniques. Parent and child classes teach you to work safely and effectively with your child with a goal of water adjustment and preparatory activities for swimming. Preschool 1-3 sessions introduce children ages 2-5 to basic water skills. Level 1+ sessions focus on building upon fundamental skills and stroke development. Preschool 1-3, 7-7:30 p.m. Orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatics skills. Designed for ages 2-4. Level 1+, 7:30-8 p.m. Participants will feel comfortable and learn basic skills unsupported by instructor. Pre-registration is required for all classes and programs, and payment is due at the time of registration.
