LifeLong Learning Lecture Series

"Lifelong Learning" is a series of presentations designed to promote learning opportunities for anyone interested in challenging his or her thinking and enhancing brain stimulation. All age groups are encouraged to attend. This event is sponsored by Blount Memorial Senior Services, Maryville College and Vienna Coffee Company.

This month, widely read Oak Ridge historian D. Ray Smith will present “Oak Ridge: 75 Years of History,” and will discuss the history of the “Secret City,” its role in the development of the atomic bomb, and the economic and educational impacts of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 National Security Complex.
