LifeLong Learning Lecture Series

July 26, 2018, 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

"Lifelong Learning" is a series of presentations designed to promote learning opportunities for anyone interested in challenging his or her thinking and enhancing brain stimulation. All age groups are encouraged to attend. This event is sponsored by Blount Memorial Senior Services, Maryville College and Vienna Coffee Company.

This month, Maryville College biologist and adjunct professor Jay Clark is an observer, recorder and reporter of the natural world and the world of human nature. He has a special calling to the study of bears. As a songwriter and performing/recording musician, he has a keen eye for the observation of human nature. That artistic life has produced an extensive discology of songs that record the stories of humans in nature. Clark will speak and sing about the challenges of bears and of mankind as both struggle with the challenges of survival and finding a place in the world.
