Even during a pandemic, it’s important for women age 40 or older to remember to get a yearly screening mammogram to help detect breast cancer in its earliest and most-treatable stages.
To help with this, the Blount Memorial Breast Health Center’s “Mammograms in the Moonlight” event is returning Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5-8 p.m. The event makes the process of getting a screening mammogram more convenient by offering after-hours 3D mammograms, plus the opportunity to meet with Dr. Kristen Carver, a board-certified and fellowship-trained radiologist who specializes in breast health care.
Participating women can use their insurance benefit or, if uninsured, can purchase discount screening certificates for $307 during the event, which will cover both the 3D mammogram and interpretation fee (but will not cover any additional diagnostic fees).
Space for this popular event is limited, so make your reservation today by calling the Breast Health Center at 865-977-5590.
