Two Blount Memorial Hospital staff members were recognized for their commitment to patient care at the Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee’s “Silver Lamp Awards” dinner.


Blount Memorial Total Rehabilitation pediatric physical therapist Chasity Chandler and Blount Memorial registered nurse clinical educator Kathleen Smith earned “Silver Lamp Awards” for their skill and dedication to patient care in 2022. The Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee celebrated the winners at a dinner at The Foundry in Knoxville on Thursday, Jan. 12.
The “Silver Lamp Awards” were established in 2006 to promote excellence and quality care by professionals in the health care field. The award is named for Florence Nightingale, and reflects her commitment to compassionate care.
Winners of the 2022 “Silver Lamp Awards” were chosen by their respective hospitals for making a positive impact on patient care through demonstrated excellence and commitment to the patients they serve.
