The first baby born at Blount Memorial Hospital in 2025, Gavin Sean, arrived at 9:47 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2.
The baby was born to Catherine Sean of Maryville, and weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces.
“I have had four babies at Blount Memorial Hospital and have had great experiences every time,” Catherine Sean said.
Each year, the first baby born at Blount Memorial receives a special gift basket, including a commemorative "Baby New Year" onesie.
